HTC Hero for Sprint tour - part 1

Video by Michael Oryl on Wednesday September 23, 2009.

A look at the physical design and basic user interface features of the HTC Hero for Sprint. This chinless Hero features htc's Sense user interface and nice integration with social networking sites.

Android fans will probably notice that this version of the HTC Hero lacks the distinctive HTC chin that is featured on the G1, the Magic, and the European spec Hero. Love it or hate it, though, the hardware on the Sprint Hero is slick and quite solid.

The Hero for Sprint features HTC's Sense-based user interface, which adds a lot of shiny new features to the standard Android UI. For starters, the 7 panel home screen is expansive and comes equipped with dozens of widgets that can be placed upon it - many of which are HTC developed and can be used in multiple sizes and configurations.

There's even a Twitter widget that links to HTC's own Peep client, and Facebook and Flickr support is built right into the contacts manager. The contacts system is also tightly integrated with the multitude of messaging features on the device, including Exchange email, calendar, and contact support.

We'll be posting more videos in the coming days and eventually a wrap-up written review. You can check out other HTC Hero related videos and stories by following the links below.
