Today HTC announced five Windows Phone 7 smartphones. One of those devices is the 7 Surround, a smartphone that offers Dolby Mobile SRS surround sound support.
The HTC 7 Surround measures 119.5mm x 61.5mm x 13mm (4.7in x 2.4in x 0.5in) and weighs 165g (5.8oz). It's powered by a 1GHz processor and comes with 8GB of storage under the hood. That's in addition to 512MB of ROM and 576MB of RAM.
The 7 Surround comes equipped with a 3.8-inch touchscreen display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It also has a 5 megapixel camera, with auto-focus and an LED flash, that's capable of recording 720p HD video.
The 7 Surround supports 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHZ 3G HSPA networks as well as quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks. It also offers Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity. AT&T will offer the HTC Surround in the USA starting in November.
