Nokia believed to be working on optical zoom and 12 megapixel camera phones
Rumors by Ricky Cadden on Monday June 29, 2009.
Please note that this story is based upon rumor and/or speculation.
Phonereport.info is claiming that sources within Nokia and Carl Zeiss have confirmed that Nokia will introduce more advanced camera phones in early 2010. New devices will supposedly feature optical zoom and up to 12 megapixel sensors.
The Nokia N93, released in 2006, was one of the first camera phones to feature 3x optical zoom, though only one other camera phone from Nokia has offered this functionality.
