An unannounced update to the Motorola Q9, code named 'Napoleon', has been seen wearing Verizon Wireless branding lately. This rumored smartphone is believed to be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, and also features dual-band CDMA (800/1900MHz) support and quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support for true global connectivity.

The so-called Motorola Q9 Napoleon appears to feature built-in WiFi, for high-speed data connections, alongside a 2 megapixel camera. Rumors also claim that this smartphone has a built-in biometric fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. There is no indication as to when this phone might be released. [via PhoneArena.com]

I wish this was true...The entire Napoleon team has been laid off and this product is officially canceled. It's a great phone unfortunately it will never see the light of the day except a few pieces on ebay.

I really wanted this phone. have been using the Q for 2 years and just tried the Omni, what a piece of junk. Any other suggestions?
