Rumored Motorola Inferno renamed to Torch, headed to Verizon

Motorola's rumored Krave-like Inferno cell phone, which is reportedly headed to Verizon's network sometime this year, has apparently been renamed as the Torch. Boy Genius Report is stating that the touchscreen cell phone might have gone under the knife, as well, and had its plastic flip removed.

Boy Genius Report has also been told that hardware trials for this as-yet unannounced cell phone are scheduled to begin next week, which could signal a release towards the end of the summer if things go well. The Torch is still only a rumor, though, and could just as easily be canceled altogether.
