AT&T possibly dropping MEdiaNet name and prices
Rumors by Ricky Cadden on Friday January 23, 2009.
Leaked AT&T Document
A leaked internal AT&T document suggests that the carrier is gearing up to drop its MEdiaNet branding for data services, and will simply call them 'Messaging' and 'Data.' The current MEdiaWorks and MEdiaBasic packages are also being eliminated.
In addition to the branding changes, AT&T is apparently poised to drop the price of its unlimited messaging and data package by US$5, from $35/month to $30/month. The flyer also notes a new unlimited data for FamilyTalk plans for $10/month per line.
While AT&T has not confirmed these changes, the flyer suggests that the new pricing and branding changes will go into effect on January 25. [via EngadgetMobile]
