Openmoko FreeRunner with Android
We heard through the grapevine that Openmoko is set to announce that its FreeRunner open-source cell phone is soon to be available with Google's Android operating system pre-installed. Right on time, spy pictures of the FreeRunner with Android running on it have shown up.
Though the pictures are extremely blurry, the guys at AndroidAuthority suspect that they are real. It is expected that this Android-powered version of the Openmoko FreeRunner might be available in Q1 2009, even as early as January.
