Chinese accessory manufacturer shows cases for Apple 'iPhone nano'
Rumors by Michael Oryl on Wednesday December 24, 2008.
It looks like case manufacturers are once again trying to spoil Apple's big product surprises. This time it appears to be the "iPhone nano" that is getting prematurely exposed, thanks to Chinese case manufacturer XSKN.
While it would be easy to dismiss this kind of thing as being sheer nonsense on the part of a small retailer, both the iPod Touch and, more recently, the iPhone 3G showed up first as designs for cases before they were officially announced. Many in the industry have been waiting for Apple's next move, one that will take the iPhone into the sub-$100 range, and an iPhone nano type device would certainly seem to fit the bill.
With that said, though, this could easily just be XSKN's way of trying to drive a ton of traffic to its site (not to mention an armada of lawyers, we'd wager). So keep that in mind before you start planning your next iPhone purchase. [via Boy Genius Report]
