According to Chris Walsh, who created the ChevronWP7 Windows Phone 7 unlock tool, Microsoft will release a "massive" Windows Phone 7 update in January.
Walsh has said that it "took [Microsoft] 3 months to do what Apple did in 3 years," and "let's just say they could have called it Windows Phone 8." The update might include Bing turn-by-turn directions, custom ringer support, multitasking, and copy/paste. That doesn't sound too fancy to us, but it could include some more compelling features.
For now, those comments remain a rumor and are speculation. However, Microsoft has confirmed that an update which includes copy/paste functionality will be released in the future. [via WPCentral]
