Alltel Makes the LG Glimmer Official

Alltel has formally announced that it will be carrying the newly launched LG Glimmer, though it will be called the AX830. Starting with a large 2.8" WQVGA (240x400 pixel) touchscreen display, the AX830 is a slider handset with plenty of features. A 2.0 megapixel camera with video recording is on board for capturing the moment, while the microSD card slot ensures you have plenty of room to store your memories.
This dual band CDMA (800/1900MHz) handset offers quick data speeds thanks to EV-DO support. Bluetooth 2.1 is also available, with A2DP support for stereo headsets. A 3.5mm headset adapter is also included in the package, making the AX830 well-equipped for music enjoyment.
The LG AX830 Glimmer is expected to be available online and through Alltel retail stores on March 13th, with pricing set at $249.99 with 2-year commitment and rebates.
