Nokia's Retro-Cool Folder, the 7270

Looking not entirely unlike the recently announced 6170 handset, the new 7270 handset aims to offer a bit of reto-cool high fashion. And Nokia is targeting the ladies with this one.

Apart from the new look that it shares with the 7280 and 7260, there is not a lot new with the 7270. It supports the same modified Series 40 user interface used by other Nokia folders with an extra tall 128x160 color display. In fact, considering the etched stainless steel cover, the only obvious difference between the 7270 and the 6170 might be an internal one: the 7270's FM radio.

But either way, it is nice to see Nokia taking the folder design by the horns.

The Nokia 7270 is planned to go on sale in Q4 of 2004.
