This week Acer launched its latest flagship Windows Mobile powered smartphone, the Acer S200 neoTouch. The neoTouch features a large 3.8-inch resistive touchscreen(INFO) display that offers an impressive 800 x 480 pixel (WVGA) resolution. The thin slab shaped device offers a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash, HSDPA or HSUPA data (depending on region), and Qualcomm's sizzling 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

The neoTouch sports the new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone operating system and comes equipped with Acer UI 3.0, the company's finger friendly shell that runs on top of the OS. The neoTouch makes use of Microsoft's IE6 web browser for a true desktop-like browsing experience, and has 256MB of RAM for running intensive applications. Other features of note include a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and a microSDHC(INFO) memory card slot for adding up to 32GB of storage to the device.

Acer, which entered the smartphone business after buying E-TEN in March of 2008, has not released pricing or availability information for the Acer S200 neoTouch at this time.
