Samsung's S5230 is a new super-thin cell phone that measures only a half inch in thickness (11.9mm) and manages to include a 3 megapixel camera/camcorder with Smile Shot technology and a bright 3-inch WQVGA (240x400 pixels) resolution touchscreen display in its package. The S5230 offers Samsung's finger-friendly TouchWiz user interface with mobile widgets and a user-customizable homescreen that users will find great for navigation.

The Samsung S5230 also features built-in access to Google Search and Google's Gmail email service, as well as Bluetooth 2.1 for wireless handsfree headsets. The S5230 offers worldwide connectivity thanks to quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support, and includes a microSD card slot for extra storage.

The Samsung S5230 is expected to be available in France and other European countries in April 2009, though pricing details have not been released.
