Verizon Wireless announces CDM8975 clamshell push-to-talk handset

Today Verizon Wireless announced that its CDM8975 push-to-talk enabled clamshell handset will be available to the general public in March. The CDM8975 clamshell has CDMA (800/1900MHz) support and features EV-DO (Rev. A) for high-speed data connectivity on Verizon's network.
Users out and about will appreciate the phone's VZ Navigator for access to turn-by-turn directions and map data points. Save and share memories with the CDM8975's 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. Photos and video can be stored on the phone's microSD card slot with memory expandable up to 8GB. With Bluetooth support for hands-free calling, voice commands and voice activated dialing, users can pair their phone with the a large selection of Bluetooth devices.
Although intended for business users, the CDM8975 gives access to V CAST Music with DRM-free Rhapsody music service access and V Cast Video services that allow users to download or stream popular video.
The Verizon Wireless CDM8975 is available now for Verizon business customers and will be available online and in stores beginning March 9 for $99.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.
