Sony Ericsson has announced its C903 Cyber-shot, the newest addition to its Cyber-shot camera phone portfolio. The slim slider features a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with a protective lens cover and dedicated camera keys.
Several software features polish the C930's photo enhancements, including Sony Ericsson's Face Detection, Smile Shutter, and BestPic technologies. Smile Shutter automatically snaps a photo when someone is smiling and Face Detection identifies up to three people in the frame. BestPic fires off nine pictures in a quick burst, allowing you to pick your favorite. Store images on a Memory Stick Micro M2 external card, or upload images to web-based photo services, like Picasa and Flickr. Users can geo-tag their favorite pictures using onboard aGPS technology.
The C903 Cyber-shot has a 2.4-inch auto-rotating TFT display and TV-out functionality to display pictures on televisions. Borrowing from Sony Ericsson's Walkman portfolio, the C903 has robust music integration, with FM radio and A2DP Bluetooth support for stereo headsets. The camera phone also supports web browsing, video streaming, and an abundance of multimedia features. The C903 comes in three color options: Lacquer Black, Techno White, and Glamour Red.
A U.S. variant of the Sony Ericsson C903 Cyber-shot features GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support with dual-band UMTS (900/2100MHz) with HSPA data for high-speed connectivity. For European release, The C903a Cyber-shot supports GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100MHz) with HSPA for high-speed data. The C903 Cyber-shot will be available in select markets in the Q2 2009. Pricing details have not been announced.
