AT&T launches LG Incite touchscreen smartphone

Snapshot by Ricky Cadden on Tuesday November 18, 2008.

AT&T has officially added the LG Incite to its online store, bringing full touchscreen smartphone goodness to the masses. The Incite is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and features a large 3" WQVGA (240x400 pixels) touchscreen display.

The LG Incite is slightly multimedia-minded, with a 3 megapixel camera with video capture and a microSD card slot for extra storage. The Incite features a built-in GPS receiver and WiFi connectivity for high-speed data transfers. Network support is covered by quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100MHz) support for AT&T's high-speed 3G network.

The LG Incite is available online from AT&T today, priced at $199.99 with a 2-year commitment and after a mail-in rebate.

I also have this phone and it SUCKS!!!!Ive had it replaced 3 time...FREEZES,shouts down, lost calls,no calls, bad battery(have 2)slow! Looking for a new phone ...Its only been 3 months ...back to my old one!
LG and ATT know this, they pulled it from a lot of their stores...I would like a different phone from LG!

I agree with Rasasha, my phone freezes quite often for no great reason. It appears if I 'lock' the screen so I don't hit arbitrary things, when a call comes in the phone freezes and I have to take the battery out. Now my screen will work fine as long as I don't want to touch the screen and make things happen. I can hit the buttons on the side and works fine, but the touch screen is dead. Taking the batter out does not reset this problem. I just put it back on my hip and wait a while and try again later. It is usually over 30 minutes, but I have not timed it really. Quite frustrating. When I can afford another phone, I will probably get an apple!

i hate this phone. I have had it for a month and I wish I had picked another one. It is SLOW. Takes forever to respond to the touch screen. not to mention everything on the screen is too small to use your fingers, but the stylus doesn't store within the phone so unless you carry it on you and want to get it out every time you use the phone, it is useless. The battery doesn't last for crap and the reception sucks mostly everywhere. Overall, I hate it. Do NOT buy this phone.

nomadjosh @ 12:56:07PM EST on Monday December 7, 2009

This is the worst phone in the history of EVER!!! I have to re-align the touchscreen pretty much hourly. It freezes. It won't unlock. it just all around SUCKS!!! I have 4 new texts right now that I can't get to, because the touchscreen won't register when I tap the unlock button. Just a HORRIBLE phone.
