T-Mobile launches new Sidekick for 2008

Snapshot by Ricky Cadden on Wednesday July 30, 2008.

T-Mobile's new Sidekick for 2008 has officially launched today, available in select retail stores. Pricing is set at $149.99 with a 2-year commitment, and users will also be able to create their own changeable shells for $9.99 each, or $14.99 for a pair.

The Sidekick 2008, manufactured by Sharp, offers the familiar 2.6" WQVGA swivel screen hiding a QWERTY keyboard. A 2 megapixel camera is on board with video capture, and the built-in microSD card slot offers plenty of room for expansion.

The Bluetooth connections on the Sidekick 2008 have been improved over previous models, with A2DP support for stereo headsets and file transfer for connecting to other Bluetooth-enabled devices and printers being added to the mix. T-Mobile's MyFaves service is supported, as well.

I am disgusted by how horrible the data service has been. I have watched my bussiness slip in productivity as t mobile keeps saying that it will be fixed and it has not yet been resolved. I am sorry I ever switched services and have learned my lesson
