Nokia loves music, and that's evident when using the BH-604 DJ-style stereo Bluetooth headset. The BH-604 is huge, weighing in at a hefty 250g (8.8oz), but what it lacks in pocketability, it makes up for in sound quality. Clad in black and grey, the BH-604 features a thickly padded headband with adjustable length and two extremely well-cushioned ear pieces. The sales package only contains the headset and an AC power adapter, but that's really all you need with these headphones.

Featuring Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and support for A2DP stereo, the BH-604 connected easily to my Nokia N95-3, as well as my Bluetooth-equipped laptop. The earpieces both rotate slightly to accommodate your head, no matter the shape, and the headset charges using a standard small-barrel Nokia charger. The cushions on the headband and earpiece are soft black leather with plenty of stuffing inside, and the right earpiece features an array of controls.

The padding on the Nokia BH-604 is extremely comfortable, and you could easily wear them for hours without feeling any soreness. The cushioning also prevents outside noise from interfering, which allows the BH-604 to offer an exceptionally pure music experience.

The power port is located on the bottom of the right earpiece, right next to a volume switch that you flick either direction to change the volume. The outside of the earpiece is made up of 2 rather large buttons, the talk/main button and the play/pause button. Flanking these on the sides of the earpiece are the track forward and track rewind buttons, allowing you to easily control your music directly from the headset. There are no buttons on the left side's earpiece.

Pressing and holding the talk/main button for about 5 seconds will power the Nokia BH-604s on, as shown by a green LED located on the bottom outer edge of the right earpiece. If you continue to hold the talk/main button down, the device will enter into 'pairing mode', which is shown by a green flashing LED. This allows you to pair the Nokia BH-604 with another Bluetooth device, such as your phone, computer, or MP3 player. When you have successfully paired, the green light will turn back to blue and flash slowly. Shutting the Nokia BH-604 down is easy; simply hold the talk/main button down until you see a flashing red LED.

Answering an incoming call on the Nokia BH-604 is easy thanks to the oversized multifunction key making up the top half of the right earpiece. Rejecting an incoming call is as simple as pressing the multifunction key twice. If there is no active call, and your phone supports it, you can activate voice dialing through the BH-604 by holding the multifunction key down for about 2 seconds.
