Verizon Launches XV6800 Smartphone by HTC

Snapshot by Ricky Cadden on Thursday November 29, 2007.

The Verizon XV6800 is the latest smartphone based on Windows Mobile 6 Professional to hit the carrier's lineup. Developed by HTC, the device features a large 2.8" touchscreen display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for convenient input. Data speeds are quick thanks to EV-DO support and the built-in WiFi, making the XV6800 great for data on the go.

The XV6800's multimedia abilities start with the 2 megapixel camera, complete with flash, auto-focus, and video capture. A microSD card slot with support for capacities up to 8GB offers plenty of potential storage space, and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets.

The XV6800 is available online for $399.99 with a 2-year contract, and should be in stores on December 5th.
