Today in Finland, Nokia announced the N82 multimedia phone, featuring a 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, autofocus, and a Carl Zeiss lens. This latest Nseries device is capable of recording video at VGA resolution, at 30 frames per second, for recording those special or spontaneous moments.
The Nokia N82 is a Symbian based smartphone that runs Nokia's S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 software. The handset is well connected with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support and WCDMA (2100MHz) support. High-speed data connectivity options include HSDPA and WiFi for speedy transfers. The N82 sports a built-in GPS receiver in addition to Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets. The 3.5mm audio jack accommodates your favorite headphones and also can be used with a TV-out cable for displaying videos and photos from the N82 on your television.
The Nokia N82 measures 112mm x 50mm x 17.3mm (4.4" x 2.0" x .7") and weighs in at 114g (4oz). There is a microSD memory card slot with support for capacities up to 8GB for expanded memory. The display is a 2.4" 16 million color TFT screen, with 240 x 320 pixel resolution. A second front-facing VGA camera is also on board for video calling (where supported). The Nokia N82 is currently available in select markets for 450EUR, before taxes and subsidies.
