LG's New HSDPA-Capable CU515 for AT&T

Snapshot by Ricky Cadden on Friday November 02, 2007.

The LG CU515, recently announced for AT&T's 3G HSDPA network, offers up a full multimedia experience in a small clamshell form factor. The CU515 sports a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording and a full image editor, allowing you to resize, crop, and change the color tone of your pictures, right on the phone. The 3G network allows the CU515 to share live video during phone calls, as well as stream video through AT&T's CV, which offers access to news clips, movie trailers, and more.

Connectivity on the CU515 is handled with quad-band GSM support (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band WCDMA (850/1900MHz). Data speeds are topped out on AT&T's HSDPA 3G network. The CU515 also features Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets. The LG CU515 is also Push To Talk capable, for instant connection with your favorite friends. With AT&T's Push To Talk system, you can view real-time availability of your friends, as well as chat in a group with up to 30 people with the push of a button. The CU515 can also easily convert a Push To Talk conversation into a regular cellular call, for added convenience.

The CU515 measures a trim 96mm x 51mm x 17.8mm (3.8" x 2" x 0.7") and is a lightweight 95g (3.4oz). A 2.0" internal display with 65k colors and 176x220 pixel resolution offers great viewing options, while the 1" external monochrome screen makes outdoor viewing a breeze. A microSD card slot with support for capacities up to 4GB offers expanded storage for loading up music on this stylish flip phone.

Availability is set for November 2007, though pricing is not yet available.
