Today Samsung and T-Mobile announced the availability of the Samsung t429 (SGH-t429) on the T-Mobile USA network. This entry level slider handset comes equipped with Bluetooth wireless headset support, a VGA camera, and the ability to work with T-Mobile's unique myFaves system that lets users pick 5 contacts that they can call for free without impacting upon their monthly minutes quota.
The tri-band GSM t429 weighs a feathery 82g (2.9oz) and comes in a slick two tone blue color scheme. Its battery should be good for about 6 hours of talk time or roughly two weeks of standby time. Other features of note include a hands-free speakerphone and 5 built-in games.
The Samsung t429 is currently available from T-Mobile's website for US$49.99, after an $80 instant rebate.
