Affordable Samsung SCH-R500 Hue for Alltel

Snapshot by Brad Kellett on Tuesday July 17, 2007.

Samsung has released a new affordable clamshell fashion handset for regional carrier Alltel today, the folder style SCH-R500, also known as the Alltel Hue. With changeable covers, the Hue will fit any style, and with features like EV-DO high-speed data access it will complement many people's life perfectly.

The feature list of the mid-range Samsung SCH-R500 Hue doesn't end there though, as the device also sports fun things like a 1.3MP camera and MP3 player. Complementing the MP3 player, the SCH-R500 includes Bluetooth v2.0 with the A2DP stereo headset profile and a microSD memory card slot to store your music. A full range of PIM functionality such as calendar, memo, and world time applications, a calculator, a stopwatch, and a unit and tip converter are also available on the handset. A range of Alltel services are supported by the Samsung SCH-R500 Hue, including Axcess Email, Jump Music for side-loading songs from a PC, and Celltop to display selected live information right on the handset.

The Samsung SCH-R500 is available now branded as the Alltel Hue from the Alltel website and retail locations along with a range of colored faceplates for the device.
