Sprint Launches Samsung M300 Clamshell

Snapshot by Michelle Ruhfass on Wednesday May 16, 2007.

Today US carrier Sprint Wireless added the new entry-level Samsung M300 clamshell phone to their lineup. The handset supports CDMA networks on the 800 and 1900MHz bands and uses 1xRTT for data. It weighs 76g (2.7oz) and measures in at 91mm x 48mm x 18mm (3.6" x 1.9" x 0.7").

The M300 comes equipped with a built-in VGA camera that has a digital zoom and allows users to immediately share their photos with friends and family by using Sprint's PCS Picture Mail application. The phone supports the Sprint Vision service, which allows users to surf the web, pick up email, and send text messages to friends. The M300's contact system can support up to 299 entries, and the device's battery should be good for up to 3 hours of talk time. Users should also enjoy the many handsfree options the M300 has to offer, including Bluetooth and voice dialing.

The Samsung M300 is being offered in two color schemes: red and silver. It is available now at select Sprint locations or from the Sprint website for US$29.99 with a two-year service agreement.
