Snapshot by Brad Kellett on Thursday April 26, 2007.
Samsung SGH-i400
Samsung, long the expert in slim and stylish handset design, launched a new S60-based smartphone from the S60 Summit in Madrid, Spain yesterday that continues the company's affiliation with the slider style of devices. The new Samsung SGH-i400 is one of the sleekest looking S60 devices we have seen, and comes with features to back up its style.
The Samsung SGH-i400 features tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) and GPRS connectivity, paired with Bluetooth v2.0 with the A2DP stereo headset profile for short-range communication. Boasting all the smartphone advantages of the S60 user interface, such as full PIM functionality and desktop-class web browsing, the Samsung SGH-i400 also provides a 2.0 megapixel camera and microSD memory expansion up to 4GB. Using the 92g (3.24oz) device is a joy through the 2.3" QVGA resolution TFT LCD display.
Residents of Russia can get their hands on the Samsung SGH-i400 from July 2007, with the handset to be available in European countries in the months following.
