Low Cost Yet Stylish Pantech C150

Snapshot by Brad Kellett on Wednesday March 28, 2007.

Bringing up the low-end of Pantech's set of devices launched at CTIA Wireless this week is the C150, a stylish and slim handset with basic features for those not interested in more advanced devices. Though the specification sheet doesn't read like some handsets, it is sure to garner some attention in this segment of the market, where handset design can sometimes be the deciding factor for purchases.

This tri-band device includes EDGE support for data, though web browsing will probably be limited to your carrier's portal through the 1.8" TFT LCD with a 128x160 pixel resolution. A VGA resolution camera makes an appearance, which should make good use of the 12MB of available on board memory. A thickness of just 11.9mm (0.5"), Bluetooth with A2DP support, and 72 voice polyphonic ringtones make the Pantech C150 an attractive option for budget shoppers.

You can see more hands on photos of the Pantech C150 on the following page while waiting for the summer 2007 North American release.
