Live From 3GSM: Samsung Ultra Smart SGH-F520

Snapshot by Brad Kellett on Monday February 12, 2007.

Samsung has debuted the second entry to the Ultra Smart series of handsets from 3GSM in Barcelona today, the SGH-F520. This device carries a dual-slide design, easily switching between a standard phone keypad layout and a QWERTY keyboard for messaging.

The Samsung SGH-F520 has a touch sensitive navigational d-pad in addition to a 3" touch screen that boasts a 480x272 pixel resolution. The interesting device features a 3.0 megapixel camera for mobile photography and microSD memory expansion. HSDPA high-speed data over the 2100MHz frequency is present, as is tri-band GSM and GPRS/EDGE for when you are out of a high-speed coverage area. A full web browser comes pre-installed, as does PIM functionality.

The Samsung SGH-F520 has so far not been graced with a solid release date or pricing information.
