Expanding the business orientated Eseries range, Nokia has announced the new E65 slider from 3GSM in Barcelona, proving that a business phone can be stylish as well. With everything a busy worker on the go needs, the Nokia E65 is a powerful yet thin device.
Connectivity is very well covered with the Nokia E65, as is to be expected from a high-end business device. Quad-band GSM compatibility is sure to please globetrotters, and UMTS on the 2100MHz band is welcome. WiFi makes an appearance, as does EDGE data if you are out of coverage of high-speed data networks. The 16mm (0.6") thin device includes a large 2.4" QVGA resolution display, showing up to 16 million colors. A 2.0 megapixel camera is on board for quick snaps, and the 50MB on board memory can be augmented with microSD memory cards. To make life a little easier, the Nokia E65 is fitted with a selection of shortcut keys, including buttons for conference calls, accessing contacts, muting and unmuting calls, and accessing an application of choice through the 'My Own' key.
The Nokia E65 is already available in selected markets, with broader availability building during the first quarter of 2007 for an unsubsidized approximate retail price of 400 Euro (approximately US$520).
