The Nokia L'amour 2 collection was recently launched with 2 new models and an updated version of the 7360 from the previous series. Unfortunately, the only update to the 7360 was the colour scheme - nothing else. It is still the same VGA camera equipped phone running on the old version of Nokia's S40 user interface. It is a triband (GSM 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) phone with support for GPRS and EDGE data. While calling it a timeless design, I wonder what Nokia was thinking when they decided not to at least update the UI.
Physical Aspects
Our review unit is brown and has chrome inserts. The 7360's newer colours are pink and black. The phone is pretty good looking, actually, and maybe that's why Nokia re-released it again under the new L'amour 2 collection. The 7360 is very well built and is comfortable to hold. The leather-like surface of its battery cover also adds a touch of class to the design.
The 5-way navigational d-pad is flanked by both left and right softkeys as well as by call and end keys. The keypad has a soothing light blue backlight and is pretty comfortable to use. The keys are big enough to allow accurate speed typing. They also offer good tactile feedback. I have no complaints at all about the 7360's keypad.
The display and keypad are all surrounded by chrome, which is very easy to smudge and get dirty. On the left side of the phone, you can find the volume keys. The loudspeaker and infrared port is located on the right side of the phone. The familiar pop-port connector is situated on the bottom, and the power button is located on top. You can find the camera lens on the back. There is no LED flash or self-portrait mirror.
Overall, the 7360 measures 105mm x 46mm x 18 mm (4.13" x 1.81" x 0.71") and weighs a mere 94g (3.31oz). This will prove attractive to ladies who like their phones lightweight and compact enough to be easily tossed into a handbag.
