The Motorola L6 shares many features and design elements with its older brother, the SLVR L7, though certain features have been either reduced or taken out to allow the L6 a cheaper price point.

The stylish Motorola L6 features tri-band GSM (850/1800/1900MHz) support and includes a 65k color STN LCD at 128x160 pixel resolution, whereas the SLVR L7 sports quad-band GSM and a 262k color TFT LCD with a 176x220 pixel resolution, and also includes a memory card slot. These feature reductions allow the L6 to come in 6g (0.21oz) lighter than the SLVR L7, and to offset the lack of memory card slot, the L6 includes double the internal memory of the SLVR. Both the L6 and SLVR L7 include Bluetooth, a VGA camera, and speakerphone functionality.

The Motorola L6 also comes in a lighter color than its brother, and sports a more conventional keypad design. Motorola has also announced a version of the L6 with i-mode support for certain European countries.

Overall, the Motorola L6 is a great mid-range phone with a lovely design, and an excellent alternative if the SLVR L7 is a little out of your grasp.
