Yesterday Motorola introduced the replacement for the popular V60, the new V600. The V600 represents a long overdue face lift for the mainstay of Motorola's GSM phone platform. The new V600 gets not only color, but an integrated camera, polyphonic ringtones, and Bluetooth. Yes, even Bluetooth.

The V600 is scheduled to be available in stores in the second half of 2003. We'll post more details as they become available.

Some features of the v600:

  • Quad-band GSM (800/900/1800/1900)
  • Integrated camera
  • 65,000 color display
  • Bluetooth
  • SMS and MMS
  • Customizable incoming ring tune and color notification lights
  • Polyphonic ringtones
  • J2ME Java support
  • Interchangeable metal covers
  • WAP browser with GPRS
