T-Mobile USA reveals Samsung Vibrant, a Galaxy S based Android 2.1 smartphone

Today T-Mobile USA announced the Samsung Vibrant, a smartphone that's part of Samsung's Galaxy S family of devices.

The Vibrant will come packaged with the movie Avatar on a 2GB microSD card, as well as Kindle for Android, an application that's not yet available. Other features include a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ network, a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, GPS, WiFi, and a Swype QWERTY keyboard.

The Samsung Vibrant is expected to be available to T-Mobile USA customers beginning on July 21 for $199.99 with a 2-year T-Mobile USA contract. Pre-orders through RadioShack will begin on July 1. For more information, T-Mobile customers can visit galaxy-s.t-mobile.com.
