Today Samsung announced that the Samsung Captivate Galaxy S smartphone, powered by Android 2.1, will be landing on AT&T.

The Captivate Galaxy S sports a high-end feature set including a 4-inch super AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel camera that's capable of recording HD video, a 3D graphics engine and six-axis motion sensor, 16GB of on-board storage expandable up to 32GB, and a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird application processor. The phone also offers Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, and 802.11b/g/n support.

AT&T says that the Samsung Captivate Galaxy S is "scheduled for release in the "coming months," at AT&T retail locations and online, but the company didn't provide a price.
