Today LG launched the GS500 Cookie Plus, a 3G touch screen feature phone that is the spiritual successor to the original LG Cookie. The Cookie Plus sports a new graphical user interface that has a focus around social network connectivity. A Facebook widget is on the home screen, and Twitter, Flickr, and others are also available.

The Cookie Plus offers a unique "Editable Screenshot" MMS feature that lets you take screenshots of websites to edit and mail to friends. For images, the Cookie Plus comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera.

LG says that additional cookie devices will be revealed in the coming months. The Cookie Plus will be available initially in France and Italy in March but will eventually be available in 45 countries.
