T-Mobile today officially announced the January 20th release date of its myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition smartphone.
T-Mobile added more than just a unique guitar sunburst-finish design to the myTouch 3G. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature the original myTouch 3G lacked, and also comes with a 16GB microSD card, doubleTwist software for syncing with your computer, and preloaded songs from Avril Lavigne, Brad Paisley, Eric Clapton, and Wyclef Jean.
The myTouch 3G Fender Edition, built by HTC, will also come with a Fender branded carrying case, screen protector, and a Rock Dock speakerphone device.
T-Mobile has confirmed that the phone will have an Android 2.1 update pushed out in the Spring.
You'll be able to pick one up in T-mobile stores and online for $179.99 with a 2-year service agreement.

Got one of these a few days ago. It's a great phone...very easy and intuitive to navigate, very fast performance compared to other phones I've tried. The Fender stuff and preloaded music apps makes it really cool, especially if you're a musician.
