Product Launch by Todd Haselton on Monday January 11, 2010.

LG officially announced its second Android powered smartphone, the GT540. LG says the device focuses around social networking and that it is an ideal handset for first-time smartphone buyers.

The LG GT540 includes a 3 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Android 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an attractive industrial design that features chrome-colored accents and rounded edges. Users can customize the phone to their liking with its personalized themes, widgets, and four different color variations.

LG plans to launch the phone globally in April 2010, and it has not yet revealed pricing details.
