Verizon launches Social Beat, free social networking app for feature phones

Verizon has announced that it is partnering with iSkoot to provide feature phone customers with Social Beat, a free application that gives users access Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and more.
Social Beat provides live feeds and real-time notifications from social networks as well as status updates and new photos. The software also provides access to a variety of news feeds. Users can post to their own social networking accounts as well.
Social Beat is available for more than 20 feature phones, including the LG enV, enV2, enV3, LG Chocolate and more. Users can download the application through Verizon's Media Center.
