Sidekick handsets on sale again at T-Mobile for reduced prices after data failure

News by Brian James Kirk on Tuesday November 17, 2009.

T-Mobile has started selling its Sidekick handsets again, now at a lower price after server problems caused customers to lose contact, calendar, photo and other vital data, Engadget Mobile reports.

The handsets were originally pulled from store shelves and online in October after a data failure caused customer phone data stored in the cloud was lost, as we reported. The companies announced days later that most of the data had been recovered.

The Sidekick 2008 is now available for $49.99 with a two-year customer agreement and the Sidekick LX is now $149.99.
