T-Mobile USA has announced the availability of the webConnect Jet, a 3G-enabled USB mobile broadband modem for laptop users that includes a built-in microSDHC(INFO) memory card slot.

The webConnect Jet allows customers to connect laptops and netbook computers to T-Mobile's mobile network as well as roam globally thanks to its quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA support.

The device accommodates microSD memory cards as large as 8GB in capacity for extra storage and comes with software built-in for easy start-up. The software also features a T-Mobile HotSpot locator, which makes it easy to find a local WiFi connection.

The 3G webConnect Jet is available now free from T-Mobile with a two-year commitment with a data plan. T-Mobile's Unlimited HotSpot WiFi access is also included as part of the company's data plan and does not count toward data usage.
