Verizon to offer pre-paid Mobile Broadband modem service
Newsbrief by Michael Oryl on Thursday November 05, 2009.
This morning Verizon Wireless announced that it will begin offering new pre-paid mobile broadband data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The daily option costs US$15 and gives users up to 75MB of data. The weekly option costs $30 and provides up to 250MB of data. The monthly option costs $50 for 500MB of data.
Verizon's Mobile Broadband will be sold pre-paid as a bundle with the Verizon USB760 EV-DO 3G modem. It is compatible with both Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 machines, in addition to Linux computers. The modem will be available starting on November 16 at Verizon Wireless stores and Best Buy locations across the country.

This is a bit expensive for me, I already have Straight Talk phone with unlimited data, talk and texts for $45/month. it's on Verizon's network nationwide so I have all the benefits of the best network without the extra expense or even having to commit to a contract.
