News by Brian James Kirk on Tuesday November 03, 2009.

Google has announced Voice Search for Nokia S60 devices and has added support for Mandarin Chinese to the voice-commanded search service, according to a company blog post.

Using the new Google Mobile App, S60 users can press a key, speak their search query into their phone, and see results appear instantly on the screen. Local search results are also available for devices that have location-based technology.

The company has additionally added support in the Google Mobile App for Mandarin Chinese, the most spoken language in the world. Google says it is always improving the voice recognition technology to better recognize British, American, Australian, New Zealand, and Indian English, as well. [via BoyGeniusReport]
