Peek announces TwitterPeek dedicated Twitter device with unlimited wireless access

Product Launch by Brian James Kirk on Tuesday November 03, 2009.

Peek has announced the TwitterPeek, the first dedicated mobile Twitter device. The phone give users unlimited access to Twitter, providing the ability to read and see tweets, send direct messages, and more. Users can view pictures posted to twitpic.com, but are unable to access the web or preview other links posted on the service, though the company says it hopes to integrate a preview feature in the future. The TwitterPeek's battery also promises 3-4 days of life, as well.

The TwitterPeek is available in aqua or charcoal color schemes for $99.99 with six-months of service included or $199.99 for the device and a lifetime service plan. Users can see more details by browsing to twitterpeek.com.

I am sure there are people who will use this. Yes it is pretty limited, but could be a decent gift idea around Christmas, especially when you can bundle it with lifetime service. I made a poll at http://www.dipoll.com/?p=614 where you can vote on whether you would actually use the twitterpeek, or just stick to your computer.
