Microsoft Bing mobile adds touchscreen optimization, NFL portal, and flight tracking

News by Brian James Kirk on Monday November 02, 2009.

Microsoft has updated the mobile version of its Bing search engine with touchscreen navigation features, an NFL search portal, and flight status service.

Users with touchscreen smartphones can now more easily browse Bing content and take advantage of a new touch-optimized movies section that lets users view movie times, synopses, trailers and more. The new feature works with the Apple iPhone, Zune HD, T-Mobile G1, Verizon Imagio and Samsung Omnia.

Bing's new NFL feature lets users see game schedules, stats and scores and view real-time game updates. The search engine also now includes flight tracking so users can enter a flight number and see updated departure and landing times.

Bing mobile is available in 31 countries and users can use the service by navigating to m.bing.com. [via Phone Scoop]
