Allerta has announced the inPulse smartwatch for BlackBerry, a watch that displays important phone notifications on your wrist while your RIM smartphone stays in your pocket or bag.

Using Bluetooth technology, the inPulse connects to BlackBerry devices and displays SMS, email, and call notifications. It can display full messages right on its 1.3-inch OLED display and features vibrating notifications for incoming calls. Calendar alerts also appear on the wrist device. It even automatically sets the time using data from the BlackBerry phone to which its connected.

The inPulse features a rechargeable 150mAh lithium-ion battery that promises 4 days of use with 20-30 updates per day. It supports all BlackBerry devices with BlackBerry OS v4.3 and higher.

The Allerta inPulse smartwatch is available now for pre-order for $149.99 at getinpulse.com. It is expected to ship in February 2010.
