T-Mobile announces the Sony Ericsson Equinox with personalized light notifications

Product Launch by Brian James Kirk on Monday October 26, 2009.

Sony Ericsson and T-Mobile have announced the Equinox, a basic feature phone with personalized and customizable light notifications. When a friend calls, a light can flash in amber, sapphire, beryl, diamond, or amethyst color schemes.

The Equinox features a 2.2-inch 262k-color QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) display, 3G data connectivity for speedy web browsing and downloading, and GPS functionality so that users can find their way on-the-go.

Users can capture memories with the built-in 3.2 megapixel camera, which lets them shoot pictures and video and instantly share the media through MMS messaging or by uploading to YouTube. Multimedia-lovers will appreciate the device's integrated music player and FM Radio, along with stereo Bluetooth compatibility for use with wireless headsets and headphones.

The Sony Ericsson Equinox will be available from T-Mobile starting on October 28. Pricing details are not yet available.
