Cricket launches UM185C Modem tri-band 3G USB modem, free after rebates for limited time
Product Launch by Brian James Kirk on Thursday September 17, 2009.
Cricket UM185C
Cricket has launched the UM185C Modem, a tri-band 3G USB modem with a swivel hinge for use with laptops and netbooks while on-the-go.
Users can surf the web with high-speed data connectivity and can send and receive unlimited text messages from their portable computers. Software is embedded in the device, so it is not necessary to install with a CD. The UM185C is compatible with Mac and Windows personal computers.
Cricket offers its contract-less mobile broadband connection for $35 per month to existing voice customers or for $40 as a standalone service.
The Cricket UM185C is available now for $139. Cricket is offering the device for free for a limited time, after $89 in instant savings and a $50 mail-in rebate.
