Yahoo! removes official blog post criticizing Apple App Store submission process

News by Brian James Kirk on Thursday August 20, 2009.

mocoNews reports that Yahoo! has removed a blog post from the official Yahoo! Messenger blog that expressed an unfavorable view of Apple's App Store submission process.

The source says that a Yahoo! employee wrote a post criticizing Apple for making the company wait more than two weeks to approve an update to its Yahoo! Messenger app, calling it a "somewhat unpredictable process."

A Yahoo! spokesperson told mocoNews that the employee miscommunicated information, since the company had added additional corrections and resubmitted the application a week after the original submission. The company says it has been "pleased by the approval process and Apple's responsiveness."
