Nokia announced today that its N86 8MP camera phone will soon be headed to the U.S. The S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2-powered device sports a 2.6-inch AMOLED^(INFO) display, an 8.0 megapixel camera, and aGPS technology and will be made available in flagship Nokia stores in the "coming weeks."

Built to take quality pictures, the N86 features variable f/2.4 to f/4.8 aperture, a mechanical shutter, a dual-LED flash, and a wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens. The N86 lets users upload photos with one-click, and gives access to Nokia's various services like Ovi Share, Ovi Maps, N-Gage, and Ovi Files.

The N86 first began shipping globally in early June, as we reported. The Nokia N86 8MP smartphone will be available for in the U.S. for $558.00.
