Apple releases iPhone OS 3.1 beta and SDK to developers

Apple has released its iPhone OS 3.1 beta and a pre-release version of its iPhone SDK 3.1 to the developer community. EngadgetMobile reports that at least one feature included in the new release is the ability for users to save edited movies as a copy in the iPhone 3GS video editing suite instead of merely replacing the original video file.
