Skype 3.0 Windows Mobile app out of beta

Newsbrief by Brian James Kirk on Tuesday June 30, 2009.

Skype has updated the 3.0 version of its VoIP application for Windows Mobile smartphones, bringing it out of beta. In March Skype launched the 3.0 beta and included SMS messaging that Skype claims is more affordable than carriers while roaming. It also added the ability to send files to persons on your contact list, and the user interface was updated in general.

It doesn't appear that any new features have been added to the out-of-beta version, but it has likely been improved for public release. [via SlashPhone]
